Felis rufus
About twice the size of my cat, Clancy, furry legs and a perky tail. After about 10 months of knowing that he comes into my garden, I got pictures of him drinking at my flat blue bowl through the Lanai Screen. I did not think I would ever catch him with my camera.
Mostly nocturnal, but occassionally seen in broad light. I thnk he may be competing for food with Coyotes up the road, that so far as I know have never ventured into my garden. He has cleaned up all the rabbits and rats where we live.
Now I am really glad I clean out the Coon scat every morning from that bowl. I have never caught anyone drinking there except Clancy, but know it is used.

Great spotting! Have you seen it again since this time?
Wonderful spotting.
Might be worth getting an inexpensive hunting cam that you can attach to a tree. I have one I put by my pond at night as something was draining it pretty low almost nightly. I now know why I have to fill it so often. I have a family of 6 raccoons, 14 white tail deer, hawks, and owls which drink from it often. I think I paid around $70 for the camera and I absolutely love it! It is capable of both video (in color during the day, infrared at night) and still photos, and is motion activated.
cool!
Great spot; worth the waiting for I should think

Oh wow, what a great find Alice! :D I love his cute face in the first pic, looks like the face of a lion cub or something!
Thank You Pineapple Man
great photos Alice!
One of ours tries to attack the raccoon when he comes up onto the deck - through the glass doors!
Clancy is old now and avoids any meetings with him, but he watched me take the pictures and knew he was there beyond the screen. Of course he always knows better than I what is going on in the garden- a source of entertainment for him especially at night.
Neat! Love bobcats!
Great capture alice!
Has Clancy ever had any encounters with him?
