Red Triangle Slug

Triboniophorus graeffei

Description:

Australia's largest land slug. Can reach up to 15cm! Distinctive red triangle surrounds pneumostome.

Habitat:

Found commonly on smooth bark of gum trees (eucalypts). Slugs feed on algae on the bark and leave behind grazing trails. Usually seen in wet weather down Australia's eastern coast.
