Eastern Cicada Killer

Sphecius speciosus

Description:

I spotted this in the grass and ran in to get my camera. By the time I got there it had pulled the cicada up this tree (photo) and before I could get another shot it flew away with its prey!

Nice action capture! I've spotted them zooming through my yard a couple times but had not chance to grab a camera and get a shot. Congratulations!
