Description:

The ventral side of Agraulis vanillae is covered with irregular silvery white spots against an orange-brown background. The dorsal view (pics 2 and 3) is deep orange with black markings. Wingspan range of 6.5 to 9.5 cm.

Habitat:

Spotted along the shore of the Little Missouri River.
