Spotting

Description:

Off-white little mushroom, slight yellowish tinge. Maybe two inches high. Found it growing in a pot on my back porch. No idea how it got there or where it came from.

Habitat:

An 8 inch clay pot with potting soil, with some succulents growing in the pot. Pot is located on north side of house, well watered, no direct sunlight. Ambient temps this time of year are about 110 degrees F.

It's 116 degrees in Phoenix, AZ today and sadly it has fallen over. The cap opened but I don't know if it had a chance to put out spores or not. It's just too hot and dry out there for the poor thing to survive.

AHa. My succulent pots have also been sprouting these yellow mushrooms. It must be a spore in the soil we’ve purchased.
