Description:

A species of bromeliad. It produces a clump of gray-green, spike-edged leaves and bolts a tall inflorescence containing many flowers. The flower is an unusual teal color with bright light orange pollen.

Habitat:

Is native to Chilean Andes.

Notes:

Found in El Cajón del Maipo, Chile. Thanks, @auntnance123, for ID.

This beautiful succulent grows very well in Southern California, and handsome plants may be seen in Encinitas at the San Diego Botanic Garden.
