Slime Mold

Hemitrichia sp.

Description:

Stalked globular slime mold with a rusty red color. Found growing with a variety of other phases/species of slime mold. Possibly Hemitrichia calyculata but different color than most of the images I have found for the species.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Rockwood Park, Virginia.
