Eastern Wild Turkey

Meleagris gallopavo silvestris

Description:

You can see 3 hens in the picture but there were actually 5. They were very fast and around 3 feet tall. They are between 2 homes going toward the back yards.

Habitat:

Wooded preserve area. Though there are neighborhoods growing up everywhere there and these hens were in a gated community on the edge of the preserve.
