Heteronympha merope

Description:

Yellow/orange lightly furred body, same coloured wings with dark chocolate to black markings stronger to outer edges, one small 'eye' on each of four wings. Butterfly approx 40mm length.

Habitat:

Near river in tall dense eucalyptus forest

Notes:

#1 is male, 2 and 3 female
