Sceliphron formosum
A linear mud wasp nest with multiple chambers. Each chamber had a live larva and was stuffed with spiders and insects (food for larva).
Found the wasp nest stuck to the underside of a chair cushion. The wasp had obviously built under the chair. Unfortunately it became dislodged while cleaning. http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_...

golly that wasp sure was busy collecting bugs and things for it's young. Great photo Leuba...
Leuba, do you think this is the same wasp that built this?

Thanks Ava T-B - have done it !
How great! please consider putting this spotting in the animal architecture mission at http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8082...
Wow so much going on in there. Looks like each chamber is a story in itself.
