Tiger

Panthera Tigris

Description:

At Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde, Arizona, I was following the feeding truck as they threw meat over the fence to the animals. At first I was very bummed that the fence was what my camera had decided to focus on. Then I realized that I was very glad for that fence with the frame of mind that tiger was in. I was not to mess with him or his food. With that in mind, the picture became a very interesting shot.

Habitat:

Zoo/refuge, http://www.outofafricapark.com/

Thank you. This picture just speaks to me on so many levels. The "illusion" of safety that chain link fence offers reminds me of the boundaries that are so easily breached by man with little respect to the animal. I'm pleased Project Noah is a platform for us to share animal encounters and pay homage to the beauty in nature and respect all.

It is an interesting photo.... Somehow has a message... Maybe: the current state of affairs between man and tiger?
