Rasbora

Rasbora einthovenii

Description:

we call this fish as 'hamburadis' in South Kalimantan. maximum size i have found was around 4 cm (female). Males are smaller but brighter in colors.

Habitat:

they can be found in inland waters such as ditches, river, swamps and lakes. Mostly pH range between 4.5 - 6.5 (acid waters). swim in school contain around 20 to hundreds.

Notes:

I know this fish since my childhood when i was swimming in clear water rivers at the age of 5. tragically, those rivers are getting worse and polluted now. the picture was taken in my aquarium with live plants. for the field spotting, i usually use small aquarium (20x10x20cm).
