It is a tanager from South America. The male is bright yellow with an orange crown which distinguishes it from other yellow finches in the continent.

Habitat:

Inhabits open and semi-open areas in lowlands outside the Amazon Basin.

Very pretty photo. Wherever they are in the world, the tanagers are always so bright. Here in the northern US, it is a real stand-out.
