This has been my nemesis bird for over a year now, and finally got to see 5 in one day! The largest wren in North America, they are mostly brown with a spotted chest and white eye stripe. The individual here is an immature. Its siblings and parent were in the brush pile it is standing at the top of.
Found in a brush pile at a birding inn at the base of a mountain.

Thank you so much for the nice comment, armadeus! It was actually 4 young ones and 1 adult, this was just the only individual that came out of the brush pile for me to see clearly :) Then the next day I saw another one at a nest! Always feels good to tick off an easy bird that I should have seen a long time ago :)
