Agrocybe aegerita
4-10 cm cap, spheric when young to a very open and convex cap when mature. Chocolate brown when young it evolves to white creamy when ages. Numerous gills white cream at the beginning, then ochre, adherent to the foot. The white fibre foot is generally long and curved, with a membranous ring on the top part which promptly turns to tobacco colour. It is very good to eat.
It grows in tufts on logs and holes in the poplars, elms and willows These ones were found at the foot of a live poplar at Autonoma University Campus in Madrid
