Description:

Resembles a miniature pine tree. It is a club moss which spreads through rhizomes, although it can also reproduce through spores.

Habitat:

It is found on the forest floor in cooler forests from Alabama to Canada. It is found in cooler, moist areas of both deciduous and coniferous forests.
