Larva of ladybird beetle which imitates its main prey.

Habitat:

Feeding on aphids on my Asclepsia seedlings

Notes:

A useful species in the home garden for keeping aphids under control. Pic#3 showing the aphids under a nearby leaf.

although they try to imitate the mealy bug - they are so clean-looking and precisely constructed !! - nice pictures.
