Texas cave scorpion

I actually placed it on a rock in a shallow pan of water. They will run around, but if they hit the water they will recoil and take a different route. You can therefore direct them with forceps to a nice central position and then take good shots without having to worry about them running too far. Obviously not a setup you can use as easily if you are backpacking for days to get to your location -- but great if you are basically just searching around where you have parked the car.
