Attacus atlas
Atlas moths (Attacus atlas) are considered the largest moths in the world in terms of total wing surface area, wingspan reaching over 25 cm. I think this is a female, females are larger and heavier.
Highland tropical forest of Kinabalu park, Kundasang, Sabah, Malaysia.
I can't get a close photograph because it was resting high up under a hut's roof. >>>Map accuracy : 50m diameter.

Thanks Dan. You can spot lots of them in Kinabalu National Park.
I wish I had your camera stand back then, so that I could lift the camera up high enough to get a good shot of it :-)
Awesome spot Chun!
Yes, they are as large as a small bird.
