Aggregation of Caterpillars

Description:

Small yellow caterpillars with black heads. Many black spots along their backs, also have tiny hairs.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

You can see a little bit of feeding damage on the plant's leaves. After I disturbed them, many retreated into the leaves bound together with silk. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
