Fairy Moth

Adela sp.

Description:

~2 centimeters max, very long antennae.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

Nectaring on some flowers, I observed this moth at the end of its flight period--fairy moths fly during April and May. The long antennae is a distinguishing characteristic. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
