In Costa Rica, the local population of monarchs travel between the east and west coasts of the country, and do not intermingle with the populations from the United States or Canada.

do you think it's a monarch?
but i found it in costa rica, i thought that the southern place they arrive was Mexico

Why not? ;-)... I must admit I have NEVER seen a Monarch myself! But I am pretty sure it is one.
