Polyphemus Moth

Antheraea polyphemus

Light brown with eye spots on hind wings.

They dwell in deciduous hardwood forests, wetlands and orchard apart from urban areas. They have several host plants where they lay their eggs.

Found him on my window and brought him indoors. I coaxed his wings open.
