Spotting

Description:

A small, transparent hydrozoan jellyfish. Has what appear to be pale, striped gonads arranged in a cross shape. Has small eye-like structures around the bell for shade sensitivity. This one has a slight greenish tinge to it. Possibly another uncommon morph of Polyorchis penicillatus?

Habitat:

Found in the waters of the bay.

Notes:

May be the same jellyfish as two other forms. Needs specialist ID.
