Brown and tan with stout, dark beaks. Feeds on reptiles, amphibians and insects.
Lives in open forest and bushland. Territorial.
These kookaburras regularly visit our yard for water and for the skinks, frogs, snakes and blue-tongue lizards that live on the property.
