Hygrophorus Milky Cap

Description:

This mushroom produced copious amounts of milk when disturbed. Cap was orange with a white bloom and a central depression. Cream colored gills and a pale orange stem.

Habitat:

Growing on the ground in a mostly deciduous forest.

Notes:

This mushroom has a mild flavor and is considered a choice edible.
