Description:

This nest is covered with tiny pebbles and held together with mud. It's wrapped in a silk web from a spider.

Habitat:

Along Lake Hodges trail on California Buckwheat.

I heard from BugGuide and they believe the silk web is unrelated which makes this a Resin Bee nest. There must have been a spider that spent a lot of time on and around this nest!
