Description:

Scaly mushroom about the size of a golf ball.

Habitat:

Growing in oak-hickory leaf litter under heavy shade. Ground was very moist and temperature was in mid 50's.

Looks like the parasol mushroom - Macrolepiota Procera. i just don't know how big it was.
