Four-lined Plant Bug

Poecilocapsus lineatus

Description:

A plant bug with an orange head and yellow/bright green body with four black stripes. Also has two spots at the end of its wings on either edge.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

This bug feeds on a wide variety of plants. Its preferential host plants are plants in the mint family Lamiaceae, but will also feed on cultivated flowers and crops. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
