Impatiens pallida
Opposite, serrate leaves. Flowers are yellow. Seed pods have explosive dispersal: if you touch them when they're ripe, they will pop open!
Ditch: grows in moist places.
Often grows along with our other native Impatiens species: I. capensis. These two species are also called "touch-me-nots," due to the explosive dispersal of their seeds. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
