Funny story on this bird is that my girlfriend called me in all excitement that she had probably spotted a Kiwi. You can imagine my excitement and disappointment.

I was disappointed too, I was hoping to see one Kiwi and it turned out to be a NZ chicken.
Yes, I can imagine. I saw one of these early one morning while we were in NZ and was disappointed because it was not a KIwi.
