Platycnemis latipes
Endemic to the South-West of France and Iberia. The White Featherleg's most distinguishing feature is the width of the male's shins; his hind legs especially have very wide and very white tibiae which he flashes during flight, presumably to impress females and rival males. The females are somewhat nondescript with their white (or beige) and largely unmarked abdomen. Both males and females have double antehumeral stripes.
Spotted at a deciduous tree forest with many eucalipts
