This one made her home in the Guinea Pig house! The Carpet Python has become a treasured pet for may people. The Carpet Python snake is native to the rain forests of Queensland in Australia. Adult carpet snakes can reach lengths of 1.5-2M in captivity. They have a life span between 20 - 30 years. The Carpet Python is a slender snake that is medium sized. It has a large head and long neck. It has lips with pits on it. This species of snake is known for its distinctive and impressive black and yellow markings. These markings can vary extensively. They can consist of freckles, stripes, bands, blotches or combinations of those. Colors can range from a lemon yellow color to a pale yellow, deep gold, or ivory.
