Green Garden Lizard

Description:

Bright green with a long, thin, brown tail. Spikes on its head, black patch on its cheek. Not shy at all, hardly ran away from me. I almost stepped on this stunning little lizard while hiking through Horton Plains National Park in Sri Lanka. It is a cool, mountaineous region where grasslands and "cloud forests" covered in fog during a large part of the day dominate the landscape.
