Anaxyrus boreas halophilus
A California toad is a subspecies of the western toad. Their diet include grasshoppers, beetles, flies, and mosquitos. They have a wide head, large eyes, smaller feet. Their color range from light gray to green to dull black.
California toads occurs in all of Northern California and down south in Barja California. They generally don’t occur in desert areas. They mainly like grasslands, woodlands, meadows, and forest. I found this in my neighbors grass at night.
