Sphinx Moth larva

Description:

About 6-8cm long, and a 1.5 cm thick. Bright green bottom with a light leaf tan on top. Diagonal stripes on the sides with small dots low on the body. Tail is a purple-ish brown.

Notes:

We found this big guy crawling through the trash bin in the garage office. Given the sphinx moths that like to fly into our house at night, I'm guessing that's what this is. Which sphinx moth, I have no idea.
