Trumpeter Swan Cygnet

(Cygnus buccinator)

Notes:

This Cygnet was the only one that a Trumpeter Swan pair had. Something either happened to the nest early on or the Northern Pike problem in this area has taken a large leap. Northern Pike are predatory fish that will not only go after other fish species but will go after reptiles, amphibians, smaller mammals, and even ducklings, goslings, and cygnets too.
