Description:

Foraging in the shallow tidal influenced estuary waters. Females are are similar to mallard females but are distinguished by the white speculum, and white belly and are slightly smaller. Male is on the right in pic 4.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. Estuary of the Nisqually River.
