Banded Tree Snail

Orthalicus floridensis

Habitat:

Native species; endemic to South Florida and the Florida Keys on native and introduced trees. In Wooded Areas, Hammocks.

Notes:

One of two very large snails seen at this park for the first time. This one was on the Air Potato vine. I was taking pictures of the introduced leaf beetle to control Air Potato. I don't know if the snail was eating the plant also, but if it is, great.
