Chroicocephalus ridibundus
Small gull from Laridae family. Here seen in its winter colors, mainly white or whitish with few greyish markings on head". In summer, they develop grey wing covers, and chocolate-brown head.
Very common in our area (pays de Gex; the area between Jura Mountain range and lake Leman), and seen in most of lakes in Alps and pre-Alpine region. This one seen on lake Divonne, close to protected marshes, and during the Wetlands BIrd Count 2019.

Cool gull. The difference between the summer and winter plumage is quite distinct. And thanks for adding the reference link too, Zlatan. There's a recording there of the the sounds of a gull colony, and it's pretty awesome.
