Quercus virginiana & Quercus laurifolia
A southern Live Oak & a Laurel Oak are intertwined. The laurel oak is in the foreground in the 1st & 2nd pictures. It has a straight trunk, smoother bark, & a greener/grayer color. The southern live oak has brown rough bark with deep grooves; its branches spread out widely (in older trees, the branches will dip down to the ground before starting back up again).
Local nature preserve. Forested.
