White Veined Wintergreen

Pyrola picta

Description:

Small plant with a red, curved stem bearing creme and pink flowers that droop downward. The leaves are ovate and dark green with light veining appearing nearly tropical in appearance.

Habitat:

Redwood forest in Yosemite National Park about 5,000 feet in elevation.
