Wild turkey

Meleagris gallopavo

Habitat:

Forest/field area

Notes:

I know this pic is horrible but I pulled over and ran out with my phone to get a quick shot. hopefully I'll get a better one soon. I've seen so many turkeys around the past few days since the snow has melted a bit and they can get to food on the ground again. This was a small group of about ten but others I've seen have as many as 40 birds. Mild today for a Canadian winter and approx. 2:00pm.
