Xeromphalina campanella group
Orange, flat to convex-capped mushrooms. Most mushrooms have a central depression and a pleated cap toward the margin. Gill surfaces are cream to pale orange, and short gills are frequent. Stipes are thin and wiry, changing from rusty red to gold (towards base). Orange mycelia are also present at the base. The Xeromphalina genus is part of the Mycenaceae family.
Growing in large numbers on TWO rotting conifer logs in a dense mixed hardwood/pine forest
