Stick Case Moth

Clania lewinii

Description:

35mm case seemingly made of many tiny fragments - seeds, sticks, also three pale green ribs (like green 'musk sticks') very straight and parallel, but unevenly spread around case.

Habitat:

Attached to young acacia longifolia.

Notes:

Seemed to 'see' very well backing off around the tiny stem it was on when I got too close. Moved quickly for a case moth. Search has so far revealed similarities in parts only... like a combination of a ribbed and cone casemoth... is it like http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/831...
