Smart bug!
I will have to plant one of those soft leaved gums.

Yes this bug was detected on the same tree as these http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/847...
There are lots of leaf beetles on this soft leaved gum. Check the reference link to see it feeding on larvae.
This bug was perched on a brown dry leaf as if it knew that it was the only leaf it could hide on.

That looks like one not to pick up. Very sharp. You say it's on a yellow-box sapling... looks like a skeletonised leaf rolled up ?
