Downy Woodpecker

Picoides Pubescens

Description:

Black head and patterns on wings. Underbelly is white. Presumably a female since no red on head. It was eating from feeders with nuthatches, creepers, and squirrels.

Habitat:

Forest near a meadow in the Marshlands Conservancy near the Long Island Sound, Rye, New York.

Notes:

After comparing it to the Hairy Woodpecker, the shortness of it's beak led me to decided that it was a downy instead

That first picture is cool, like he is saying "Who is this taking my picture?"
