Brown Sandfish Sea Cucumber

Bohadschia vitiensis

Description:

Also known as Tripang, Brown Sea Cucumber, Brown Sandfish, Black-spotted Sea Cucumber and Yellow Sea Cucumber. They feed on plankton and grow to a length of about 40cm.

Habitat:

Found singly in open rubble, seagrass and sandy areas, sometimes partially buried, at depths of 1 to 20m. Widespread in the Indo-Pacific region.

Notes:

I photo'd this critter at a depth of about 40ft.
