Thank you for sharing Mike. This spotting illustrates a real conservation issue - as Christiane has said, sadly many female sloths are killed so that their babies can be taken so that the local people can make a few tourist $. It is an issue that I was only became aware of recently, & any easy trap to fall into when traveling. We have used this spotting to highlighted this among many other conservation issues in the blog today http://blog.projectnoah.org/post/2955545...
We usually request that photos are cropped so that humans do not feature, but in this case your image is acceptable because of the important issue it highlights.

Hi Mike16.. Where did you take this photo? Do you know why this children are holding a baby sloth? Most of the time the mother animal was kill just for the money travelers are paying to take photos. :-((
