Description:

Commonly known as great morinda, Indian mulberry, nunaakai (Tamil Nadu, India) , dog dumpling (Barbados), mengkudu (Indonesia and Malaysia), Kumudu (Balinese), pace (Javanese), beach mulberry, cheese fruit[1] or noni (from Hawaiian) is a tree in the coffee family, Rubiaceae. Morinda citrifolia's native range extends through Southeast Asia and Australasia, and the species is now cultivated throughout the tropics and widely naturalised.

Notes:

It is said that the plant can be used to improve blood circulation, warm the body, lowers high blood pressure, increase vitality, improve digestion, eliminate muscle pains and colds. Often mixed with galangal, tamarind and brown sugar (sometimes plus pepper, garlic,ginger, lesser galangal, etc.). It is taken down through the generations since the days of the ancestors, show that as a medicinal Noni has a long history. Traditionally, all parts of the noni plant can be used as a drug. Roots to treat seizures and tetanus, normalize blood pressure, drug fever, and tonic. Bark is used as a malaria cure, tonic, antiseptic on the wound, or swelling of the skin deflates. This is the actual fruit with white flesh and small seeds. In Asia, they eat them raw - it's an alternative medication for hypertension :)
